 Our History

 George P. Hoffman was born and reared in Newark, NJ and raised in Springfield, NJ. He graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School and St. Francis College, Loretta PA.  After Serving in the United States Navy, George attended and graduated from American Academy of Funeral Service Inc in 1957.

After working for some local funeral homes, George opened the doors to the Hoffman Funeral Home in January of 1963.  As owner and manager George dedicated himself fully to the funeral business.  In the past he was active in several organizations and clubs in the local area.  It was in January of 1996 that George’s daughter Barbara became the Manager.

Barbara A. Hoffman was born and raised in Long Branch. Like her father, she is a graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School. After high school Barbara became a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked in the field of nursing for several years. Barbara then decided that she would like follow in her father's footsteps, and join him in working at the funeral home. Barbara became a licensed Funeral Director in 1987, after completing Mercer County College’s Funeral Service Program. Barbara is a member of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association. Active in the community, Barbara is a board member for the Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce.

George and Barbara take great pride at working together to provide their families with the dedication and support that they have come to trust.
