Biography:
Mary E. McCue, 81 of Long Branch died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 29th. The daughter of Clyde E. and Havannah K. Gregory she was born in Keiffer, Oklahoma. She graduated Keyport High School in 1949 and in 1953 she graduated from Monmouth Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Mary married Vincent John McCue on May 9, 1953. Her dedicated nursing career included working at Monmouth Memorial Hospital, now Monmouth Medical Center and Westwood Hall Hebrew Home, both of Long Branch. She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady Star Of The Sea R.C. Church, Long Branch. She will be remembered most for her love and devotion to family. Mary is predeceased by her husband of 54 years Vincent J. McCue; daughter, Carolyn Osmo McCue and a brother, Clifford C. Gregory. Surviving are her children; Kathleen McCue, Jane Lehman, Anne Schepers, Mary Lynn McCue, Thomas McCue and Patricia McCue; siblings, Richard Gregory, Sue Norris, Helen Gregory, David Gregory and Janee Gregory-Grasso; grandchildren, Sally Rosado, Daniel Lehman, Joseph Schepers, Sarah Schepers, Katie Schepers, Constance Barler, Gregory McCue, Aaron McCue, Vanessa Nanoy, Renata Osmo, Benjamin Osmo and Jacob Osmo; great grandchildren, Chloe and Demetri. Visitation will be at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 415 Broadway, Long Branch on Sunday February 3, 2013 from 3 to 6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Monday, Feburay 4th at Our Lady Star Of The Sea Church, of Christ The King Parish, Long Branch. Interment private.
