Biography:
Betty(Noble) Torchia, 83, of Oceanport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 3rd
at St. Barnabas Hopsice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch. Betty was born in Nashville,
TN and has lived in the shore area since 1955. She retired from Perkin-Elmer now known
as Inter-Date, Ocenaport in 1985 after working as an Assembler for many years.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Thomas J. Torchia in December of 1998.
Surviving is her daughter DonaMarie Clapp-Topinka of Howell, 3 Sons; step daughter
Barbara Ann Torchia Goins, Lincolnton, NC; grandson, Christopher Clapp, Long Branch; brother
Phillip Noble and his wife Sue, Morrilton, Ak; sister in laws, Rae Marsico, Eatotown and Angela
Pfeifer, Oakhurst, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 7th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Hoffman Funeral Home,
415 Broadway, Long Branch. A Funeral Service will be held 10 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch.
