Carol was born in Newark, NJ, and  graduated Millburn High School, Millburn, NJ in 1960.She married W. Barry Collin on January 27, 1962.  They moved to West Long Branch, NJ in 1964.  Upon retirement in 1995 they moved to Goode Va and lived there until moving to Newtown, PA in January 2011.  After rearing her family, Carol graduated Bookdale Community College, Lincroft, with an associate's degree in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank and Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.  She was a member of Oakland Methodist Church, Goode, Va.  Carol had a passion for "Rug Hooking" and enjoyed gardening and playing golf.

She was predeceased by two sons, Christopher S. Collin on October 13, 1966 and Richard M. Collin December 3, 2009.  She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years W. Barry Collin; daughter and son in law, Rachelle and Anthony Stewart, son; Russell M. Collin, Spring Lake Heights; grandchildren,Reese M. Collin, Grace M. Stewart and Alexander B. Stewart. 

In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice in Carol's memory would be greatly appreciated.  A visitation will be held at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 415 Broadway, Long Branch on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 7-9pm.  Family and friends may gather 10 am Saturday at the funeral home, with an interment to follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
