Biography:
Dorothy “Dottie” M. Dilley, 86 of Long Branch, died peacefully at home on Monday, October 22, 2012 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Steward, Illinois and moved to the shore area with her family in 1961. She retired after working many years locally as a seamstress. Dorothy was a devoted member of The Lutheran Church of The Reformation, West Long Branch for over forty years. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Lloyd M Dilley in 2005 and a son in law Robert Morris in 2012. Surviving is her son Danny and wife Paulette Dilley, Long Branch; a daughter Barbara Morris, Lake Zurich, IL; grandchildren, Lisa Encarnacion, Michele Cummings, Scott Dilley and Melissa Morris; 7 great grandchildren and her Best Friend “Buster”. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 in Dorothy’s memory would be greatly appreciated.Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-8pm at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 415 Broadway Long Branch. A funeral service will be held 11am Friday, October 26th at The Lutheran Church Of The Reformation, 922 Broadway, West Long Branch. Interment Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.
